ASUS has given a hint that the shortly to be launched tablet at the forthcoming Computex event will have a double boot of Windows 8 and Android!
Android has been a loud triumph in smartphones, but not nearly so in the tab market.
Standalone Android tabs comprising the Galaxy Tab series, Motorola XOOM, and their type have failed in a spectacular manner.
The condition with Windows 8 is even more exciting. Its Metro UI design idea has gained a lot of buffs, but its primary genuine implementation was in the Windows Phone operating system, and it serves to say that it has not set the globe burning either.
ASUS is hedging its bets against the potential rejection of Windows 8 as an operating system for tabs, whereas also protecting itself from being drowned out amongst the never-ending waves of Android tabs, which reach the market every other month.
The company had thought experimenting with double booting OSs with its Padfone phablet earlier 2012, as it had been said to boast a blend of the Gingerbread and Honeycomb flavors of Android.
