Toshiba Excite 7.7 is a Surprise Package

As per reports, Toshiba Excite 7.7s sturdy Nvidia Tegra 3-powered features are its slender and lightweight design, its Android 4.0 ICS OS, and its high-resolution AMOLED display all made it a favorite contestant theoretically. The Toshiba Excite 7.7 (earlier seen at Mobile World Congress as the Toshiba AT270) looks astronomically pricey.

The reports said that it will be priced just 11% more than the next nearby participant, the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, which is $450 together with a two-year contract. The design of the new tab goes with its premium price. Aesthetically, it gives pleasure to the eye, and its in line with the design of the 10.1-inch and 13.0-inch models in the Excite array, featuring a bronze-colored, textured aluminum rear with matching plastic boundaries and definite buttons for the volume rocker, supremacy, and rotation-lock slider.


As its nameplate hints, the Toshiba Excite 7.7 will feature a 7.7 inch AMOLED display, which backs up resolutions of 1280800 pixels. The 0.3 inches thick tab will carry a weight of just 13.4 ounces.

The Excite 7.7 also has 1 gigabyte of random access memory plus 16/32 gigabyte of integrated storage. It boasts an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, a 5 megapixel camera on the rear panel as well as a 2 megapixel front camera. Besides, Toshiba Excite 7.7 comes with Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.

The Toshiba Excite 7.7 will be available in the market by this month at the price of $499.99 for the 16 gigabyte model, and $579 for the beefier 32 gigabyte edition.

Additional Features

The Excite 7.7 boasts a MicroSD card slot together with a Micro-USB active port on the key, as well as a handily located headphone jack. It also features a 2-MP front camera and a 5-MP back camera together with flash, in addition to a proprietary docking linker for charging.

The company has not customized Android 4.0 much on this new tab, but Toshiba has pre set up a few useful widget icons on the main screen; these widgets group connected applications together for straightforward access.
