Splashtop brings Windows 8 Testbed Metro app to iPad and Android

Mobile app company Splashtop got a lot of applauds in April when it announced the Windows 8 Testbed Metro for Apples iPad.

The announcement of the much awaited Windows 8 Testbed Metro for Apples iPad the paved way for owners of the iPad to experience the highs as well as lows of Microsofts Windows 8 Metro.

According to an Engadget report, the launch of the iPad Windows 8 Metro Testbed app might be a bit scratchy for the Cupertino, Californina a based popular gadget makers tablet, but it is a strikingly impressive app as it offers almost all the functionality of Windows 8 Metro including several multi-touch swipe functions.

The app is now available for tablets running Googles Android mobile operating system too.

The app runs at a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and supports Android tabs ranging from 9 inches to 10 inches. Just like its iPad equivalent, the app supports Metros user interface touch gestures that allow consumers and developers alike to experience most of Metro on their devices.

The price of the app remains unchanged at $49.99. However, it is currently available at a 50 percent discount for an unspecified limited time period.
