Google chairman Eric Schmidt did disclose about the reasonably priced $250 tablet having a 7-inch display, the plan being to build the hardware reasonable enough for users to try out tablets.

The fresh reports said that Google and Asus have worked on early shipments of 600,000 tablet units for the coming month whereas the tablet will hit the shelves by the month of July.

Google proposed for a May launch but because of design and cost constrictions, the date was forwarded to July.

The other 7 inch tablet, which has been processed by Google, Asus MeMo Pad 370T, is likely to be launched as the Nexus tablet with Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
